Bin-day rules

Before you put the bins out

  • Put bins at the kerb by 6:30 am and bring them back in the same day.
  • Keep lids closed, face wheelie bins toward the road and leave about half a metre around each bin.
  • Recycling accepts clean rigid plastic containers numbered 1, 2 and 5, glass bottles and jars, paper, flattened cardboard, drink cans and food tins.
  • Soft plastics and lids do not belong in the recycling bin.
