Fortnightly for properties that subscribe.

An optional service for food scraps, garden material and specified compostable paper items.

  • Food, meat, seafood, dairy and eggs
  • Grass, weeds, flowers and small prunings
  • Paper towel, tissues and food-stained cardboard
  • AS 4736 lime-green caddy liners

No — keep out of this bin

  • Other plastic bags and food packaging
  • Tea bags and coffee pods
  • Pet waste, nappies and kitty litter
  • Soil, rocks, treated timber and large branches

Important rules

Use the service properly

  • Check the address lookup for the property’s day.
  • The green-lid service is optional.
  • Use only lime-green AS 4736 certified caddy liners.
  • Never put batteries or e-waste in any kerbside bin.
  • Keep bin weight below 70 kg.

No. The food and garden waste bin is an optional paid service.
Can compostable packaging go in the green bin?
No. Certified lime-green AS 4736 caddy liners are accepted, but compostable or biodegradable food packaging is excluded.
